A.P.C.L. strongly believes in giving back to the society through various welfare schemes for the Socio-Economic development of the region, and uplifting of the rural poor. The company has under taken various programs for the benefit of the surrounding villages.

Anjani Cements constructed Sita Public School close to the factory in the year 2005 with the intent to provide quality English Medium based Primary and Secondary education to the children of our employees and neighboring villages. Currently, nearly 300 students are enrolled, studying from Pre-Primary upto Class VII. In due-course of time, the school will extend upto Class X. Scholarships are disbursed to deserving and meritorious students of low income group families from the surrounding villages. A.P.C.L. encourages talent by contributing to the local youth associations and also sponsors fees to the meritorious students for admission into professional courses. The Company also assists the local youth with self-employment schemes.

Anjani Cements has recently donated Rs.1.00 Crore worth of cement to the State Government of Andhra Pradesh for construction of houses for the poor under the “Indiramma Housing Scheme”. The Company regularly contributes to the developmental and welfare activities of 10 villages surrounding the factory. Construction of various culverts, temples, churches, repairing of roads, formation of roads, drainage systems, digging-up bore wells and supplying of protected drinking water, etc., is taken up by the Company regularly. The Company also supplies cement at a subsidised rates to the surrounding villages.

Free food is provided to the poor and aged people of the surrounding villages during important occasions and festivals. The Company also provides financial assistance to aged people. Medical/Health Camps, Blood Donation Camps, Family Planning Operations, Pulse Polio Camps, etc., are conducted regularly in consultation with experienced Physicians and Surgeons. The Company also runs a Healthcare Centre that is manned by a healthcare provider for administering medical assistance to the local public.

A.P.C.L. believes in creating a eco-friendly environment and is committed to install the latest pollution reduction equipment to create a dust free environment. The company has also undertaken extensive tree plantation at the factory site, mines & colony and has created a greenbelt in these areas.
